How I handle your personal information
This page sets out what details this website collects, why I collect them, how long I keep them and how to ask me to remove them.
Fin Statique is run by me, Leon Williams, an AI Data Readiness Consultant based in Cape Town, South Africa. I am responsible for the personal information you send through this website.
Please note: this is a plain-English summary. It has not yet been checked by a legal adviser, and it should be reviewed before anyone relies on it. If anything here is unclear, email me at leon@finstatique.com.
What I collect
I only collect the details you choose to give me. This website has three ways to get in touch:
- Booking a Health Check
- Your name, your email address and the time slot you choose for the free 30-minute AI Data Health Check.
- The enquiry form
- Your name, your email address, a phone number if you add one, and whatever you write in your message.
- The newsletter
- The email address you sign up with.
Please don’t send customer records, passwords or other sensitive data through the website. If we work together, any data for a project is handled separately, under an NDA signed before work begins.
Why I use it
- To set up and hold the Health Check call you booked.
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To send you the newsletter, if you signed up for it.
I do not sell your details, and I do not use them for advertising.
Who else sees it
Health Checks take place over Zoom, and the Zoom meeting is created automatically when you book. That means your name, email address and booking time are passed to Zoom so the meeting can be set up. Apart from that, I share your details with no one unless the law requires me to.
How long I keep it
I keep your details only for as long as I need them for the reason you gave them. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry and booking details are kept while we are in conversation, and deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask me at any time to:
- tell you what personal information I hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your details;
- stop sending you the newsletter.
To do any of these, email leon@finstatique.com. I will reply as soon as I can. Each newsletter will also include a way to unsubscribe.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection regulator.
